Right - Mum and Dad are out of range - data is something that the locals (most have horns) are unfamiliar with - so I shall update this with their progress until they can continue on with it.
30 Apr - "We are in Botswana chasing Rhino. Or running away from them. Data is very difficult. Both well. Hope all is OK in NZ
1 May - "Well we are heading off to the Kalahari desert today so will be out of communication for at least five days. Having a ball. Leopard sprint thru the camp while washing dishes. Got within 50m to a pair of rhino's. Stayed last three days at khama rhino sanctuary (http://www.khamarhinosanctuary.com/) rhinos, giraffe, zebra just ten metres away."
5 May - "Just spent 4night in
kalahari desert game reserve - close encounters with 2 male lions from the safety
of the vehicles, (only 4 metre away) and miles from anywhere. We are hot, dusty, and
hanging out for showers - had to take all water with us. Disturbed 3 cheeter's eating
their kill yesterday. On way to maun to restock - and plan to go to the nxai pan in
the makgadikgadi Plains"
